How to update the Firmware of AVTECH DVR / NVR which has been effected by virus or malware.
You might get frequent disruptions in viewing the CCTV DVR online through mobile or CMS and you might not be able to log in to your DVR with your password and you might get other issues in your DVR because of this malicious virus attack. AVTECH have given the guidelines on how to update the Firmware to resolve this issue. Once the firmware is updated make sure to change the password to include case sensitive letters with numerals and symbols.

Step1, Open the firmware download table.
Step2, check the “type” of your DVR. it could be A, B, or C.
Step3-1, if your device is type “C”, please upgrade your device to the version of Anti-virus 2.0 as indicated in the table, and then delete the “admin” account. And your device has high protection against hacker attack.
Step3-2, if your device is type “B”, we suggest you change it to type “C” device, so your device has high protection against hacker attack. If you have another concerns and have to keep using it, then we suggest you set it up online by “EaZy Networking”. If you still have to use DDNS online, then please upgrade to the version of Anti-virus 1.0 as indicated in the table, and then delete the “admin” account and revised your port number. Your device will be safe in most of the hacking cases, but still at risk sometimes.
Step3-3, if your device is type “A”, we highly recommend you change it to type “C” device, and don’t use type ”A” on the internet anymore, or your device is very likely to get hacked, and can’t work normally.
