How to add Biometric Devices to ZKTECO BioTime 8.0 Software

- Go to Menu
- Select "COMM."
- Go to "Cloud Server Settings" and Setup Server Mode to "ADMS"
- Enter the IP Address of the Server or PC where the BioTime is installed
- Enter Port Number (Default 80)
- Make Sure the Device is set to DHCP in Ethernet Settings
Step by Step Guide to Connect Biometric Device to BioTime Software - ADMS
1. Go to "Menu" from the Device and Select "COMM."
2. Go To "Cloud Server Settings"
4. Set "Server Address" to the intended Server or PC the device should connect to. In this demo we have set to 192.168.8.110 which is the PC the BioTIme 8.0 Software is installed.
5. Set "Server Port". The Default port will be 80 and you could change to any available port on you system. Here we have set the Port to 8081
6. Make sure the Device is set to "DHCP" under "Ethernet" Settings. So that there wont be any IP Conflicts in the Network.
7. Go to the BioTime Server Controller.
8. Enter the Port Number which you have entered in your Biometric Device. In this demo we had entered Port Number 8081 and check for availability. If the port is taken by any other device or software you could change the port number in both the BioTime server controller and your Biometric device. And Click Start
9. Click "Check" to make sure all services are running.
10. Now you can run the BioTime 8.0 Software and enter the credentials. Make sure you enter the correct Port Number.
11. The Biometric device will be automatically added to the software but it will not be ready until we make some settings to the Biotime Software.
13. Click Edit to set the configuration for the Biometric Device
14. Setup the newly created Area and relevant settings and click confirm
15. Once the settings are finished you will see the "Status" in a green tick which means the Biometric device have been added successfully and the device is ready to use.
