How to Setup E-mail Notification on CCTV DVR

My DVR was stolen by the thieves. How can I protect my DVR for theft?

Recently one of my client's CCTV DVR was destroyed by burglars who had stole much valuables in his home. We could not retrieve any data from the Hard Disk from the DVR but luckily we had setup the E-mail notification and FTP during the installation of the CCTV System. So we were able to get the motion clips and snapshots in the email and local computer through FTP.

We'll show you how to set up motion-activated email notifications on your DVR or NVR in this tutorial. Almost anyone who has broken into a building knows that in order to secure their things, people have resorted to installing CCTV systems.

If the burglar also takes the Video Storage device, the CCTV system is rendered useless (DVR or NVR). As a result, having a backup of it somewhere else that the robber is unaware of is an option. We may do this by using the DVR or NVR's motion detection feature, which delivers snapshots whenever motion is detected.

In this video we will demonstrate on How to Setup Motion Video / Image Alert Email Notification on CCTV DVR. We have used an AVTEVH DVR for this demonstration. Almost all CCTV DVR email notification setup method consist of this similar method.
